Mid-week Sneaky Peak

Loved the first Step Up movie and Step Up 2: The Streets hits cinemas soon, busting more moves than a triple bill of J Lo's Dancelife on MTV. And the big news is…Step Up: 3-D is rumoured to be on its way too! Enjoy…
S-A-T-C: An even better trailer!

February 06, 2008
This week it's all about Jalba... Jessica Alba to everyone else, she lets me call her Jalba, cos she likes me... anyway enough of my musings, let's get back to why we're here - the midweek sneaky peak!

January 30, 2008
I'll be talking about this more on the show later, but in the meantime, enjoy!
Teeth
January 16, 2008
If you heard Reggie chatting to Edith the other day then you'll definitely remember him bigging up this new movie Teeth. It's about…wait for it…a girl who has teeth where you really wouldn't expect them to be. Watch the trailer to make you squirm. That said, this does look genuinely bang on, not as stupid as the premise might suggest. But ultimately it's still about a lass with a toothy downstairs area...
Definitely Maybe
January 09, 2008
Here's my midweek sneaky peak - I'll be giving you more info on the show this afternoon! Enjoy!
Jumper
January 07, 2008
This is the trailer for Jumper - nope, not the sort you've just got off of aunty at Christmas. It's the new film from the Director of The Bourne Identity and Mr and Mrs Smith,it stars Hayden Christiansen and Samuel L Jackson and will be out here on February 14th!
Sneaky Peak - Walk Hard
December 12, 2007
Check out today's sneaky peak trailer - it's for Walk Hard, a spoof of all those musical bio-pics we've had recently (Dreamgirls, Walk The Line, Ray etc) made by Judd Apatow, the comedy genius behind Superbad. It's good to see John C Reilly do an out-and-out comedy too. Also look out for a) Jack White in a cameo as Elvis and b) lots of jokes involving the surname Cox. That's enough for me. Check it in cinemas from January '08.
Alvin and the Chipmunks
December 11, 2007
Can't wait to see those pesky little brothers on the big screen? Well, if you can't wait another week, we've got this great little clip to get you really excited! Check it out here
Sex and the City!!!!!
December 07, 2007
There's not much too see here - apart from Carrie wearing the world's biggest corsage - but I'm still hugely excited about this trailer for Sex And The City: The Movie. And I'm straight. It's out next May so plenty of time to get down to that Carrie Bradshaw size zero, girls...
Iron Man
December 03, 2007
My week's been a bit dull - well, apart from chatting to Kelly Osbourne about X-Factor's super duo Same Difference. But that's for another day. So for this latest Extra Bit I thought I'd just post you another trailer. It's also kinda linked to our on-air chat about the brilliant film Elf the other day. Yes, Iron Man is directed by Elf's Jon Favreau and stars the barking mad Robert Downey Jnr and uber-laidback Jeff Bridges. All of this can only lead to cinematic brilliance next Spring. Check it out...
Mid-week Sneaky Peak
November 28, 2007
This week's mid-week sneaky peak is of Joaquin Pheonix and Mark Wahlberg's new 80s cop thriller We Own The Night. I saw it the other day, actually. If you like American Gangster, you'll love this. It's a mean, murky, macho thriller topped off with some subtly brilliant performances and - for the boys - lots of Eva Mendes in skimpy outfits. Not even American Gangster could boast that...
Dan In Real Life Trailer
November 21, 2007
Check out this week's mid-week sneaky peak trailer. It's for Steve Carell's new movie Dan In Real Life, a comedy drama about a single dad who falls for his brother's girlfriend - doh! I chose it for two reasons. One, Steve Carell only has to raise an eyebrow to get a big laugh outta me. And two, it co-stars a woman for whom I'd lay down my life, Brit actress Emily Blunt. Simple really.
Major Movie Star
November 14, 2007
I love all actresses called Jessica. Fact. So even though this trailer for Major Movie Star does make it look like the worst film ever, it does star a Jessica (Simpson) and therefore it immediately has something to recommend it. Plus Steve Guttenberg of off 3 Men And A Baby is in it too, showing off a startlingly tight face. Amazing.
Awake
November 07, 2007
Awake features Darth Vader and Jalba - together at last! Edith lurrves him and I lurrve her so this pic's got at least two fans already. Telling the scary tale of a guy who's conscious during an operation, this looks like being a real talking point when it comes out next Feb. Aaaah, a perfect Valentine movie. Er...maybe not.
Mist has never been so scary
October 31, 2007
It's Wednesday and it's Halloween so what better than a scary mid-week sneaky peak at an upcoming horror pic. This one is based on a Stephen King story and it's directed by Frank Darabont (who did the King stories Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile) so the omens are good. It stars Thomas Jane, a tough bloke with a girl's name. Enjoy.
Juno
October 29, 2007
James talks about this new film in his latest Extra Bit - so here's the trailer for your viewing pleasure...
Johnny Depp Alert!!!
October 05, 2007
Here's the trailer for the brand new Johnny Depp movie Sweeney Todd - it's out in the UK early next year - can't wait! Check it out here
Rendition
October 03, 2007
As mentioned on the show today, he's the trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal's new thriller Rendition. It's a real butt-clencher looking at the effects of America's stance on terrorism, with Jake and co-star Reese Witherspoon in their usual quietly heroic mode. Neither, though, can compete with old-timer Meryl Streep. She's only in a few scenes but her turn as a government security chief sends shivers down your spine. It's out 19th October.
I Am Legend
September 19, 2007
As mentioned on the show today, check out this awesome trailer for Big Willy Smith's new sci-fi epic I Am Legend, out beginning '08. The pic's been a long time coming - even Arnie was rumoured to be starring in it back in the 90s. Judging by this trailer though, the wait will be worth it.
High School Musical 2
August 29, 2007
Okay HSM fans - here it is! Our excluuuuusive clip from High School Musical 2 just for you. It's the track "You Are The Music In Me" which no doubt you already know since the album's just shifted several hundred thousand copies in a matter of days. But this is just a taster - catch the full Troy/Gabriella snog-fest on the Disney Channel on 21st September where I'm sure you'll find out why a couple of people in background are wearing chef's hats.
And, as if that's not all, HSM Part Deux will be all over Scott and Edith's shows over the next few weeks. In fact, I met 4 of the gang yesterday. You've never seen such white teeth, shiny hair and fake tan - and that was just me. They were great the whole bunch of them - Zac, Vanessa, Monique & Lucas - and you can hear the full interview on Radio 1 just before the movie gets its first TV airing. Stay tuned...
Knocked Up preview
August 23, 2007
The stars of new movie 'Knocked Up', Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann are Edith's guests this afternoon on Radio 1, along with the film's director and writer, Judd Apatow.
You'll be able to hear the interview on this blog later too, and check out the trail below!
Rush Hour 3

Ratatouille
June 12, 2007
Okay square-eyed comrades, check this out. Ratatouille is the new movie from our friends at Pixar (y'know, the boffins who made Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Incredibles) It's about a young rat called Remy - stay with me - who lives in a bistro in Paris. It's out in the US at the end of the month but, naturellement, we have to wait a bit longer for our fix - the half-term hols in October to be precise. Boo hiss! So either haul your butt Stateside quick smart or make do with this cracking trailer...
Fantastic Four Trailer
April 25, 2007
Check out some cheeky trailers to some films that I'm rrrrrrreally looking forward to (The Simpsons Movie) and one that, looking on the plus side, can only be better than its predecessor (Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer). Square-eyed comrades...farewell.
Alpha Dog
April 12, 2007
The new film starring Justin Timberlake is out in the UK on April 20th - check out the clip!

Hot Films for 2007
March 01, 2007
There's some biggies coming out this year. Here are a selection of the spine-tingling teasers for this year's blockbusters. What movies are you most looking forward to this year? Post your comments below.
Despite decidedly mixed reviews the new Nic Cage film is #1 in the States this week. It's chock full of special effects, leaving less space for decent dialogue. As some wag on IMDB put it "They should've used CGI for Nick Cage's hair". Check out the trailer...
Trailers - Guilty Pleasures
February 13, 2007
Loving the trailer for Transformers The Movie at the moment. It's gonna be a big, cheesy Summer blockbuster but with the brilliantly dumb Michael Bay at the helm it's gotta be a guilty pleasure.
Bruce Willis back as John McClane in Live Free Or Die Hard it's gonna be similarly meatheaded but I can't wait. The often wonky Bruce is on home ground with these movies - as the trailer proves.
