Jennifer Ellison was a bit moody when I interviewed her. Dunno why. Well, maybe it was coz in this photo I have a slightly sweaty back that she's resting her hand on. Not a good look. Anyhoo, she was very chipper on Richard & Judy the other day so I guess I just have to face up to not having The Madeley's animal magnetism. Luckily co-star Reece Shearsmith was very lovely and talked loads about their new horror movie The Cottage.

Now, you'll have heard me and Edith bang on about Once for ages and ages, but just in case you missed the interview first time around I thought we should put it up again.
It's a brilliant indie pic with a gorgeous soundtrack and it won an Oscar for Best Song for the heartbreaking "Falling Slowly". You need to check it out. A bit like an Irish, musical version of Lost In Translation (but better than that sounds), Once is a low-key but heartbreaking tale about the friendship between a busker and an immigrant in Dublin.
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova came on Edith's show last October - we knew it was going to big ages ago, you see! Enjoy!

The man's a legend and I was lucky enough to meet him waaay back at the end of last year to chat about his awesome new pic, Be Kind Rewind. You might know it as the movie where Jack and Mos Def make their own lo-fi versions of classic movies, in a bid to save an old-school video store in a downtrodden suburb of New York. It's also surprisingly sweet too, focusing on the importance of community and togetherness, all tied together with trademark beautiful weirdness by director Michel Gondry.
The pic's of JB re-making Ghostbusters although when I met him he had a blonde crop in an Eminem stylee. We talked hip-hop, selling out and, randomly, a range of grooming products that share his name. Enjoy...

He may look like Tom Selleck off of the 80s with that humungous 'tache but face-fungus aside, Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood totally rocks. Both he and the movie are pretty intense - it's the story of greedy oil baron in early 20th century American who'll stop at nothing to get rich - but the film's so like nothing else you've seen, you need it in your life. I caught up with the celebrated luvvie to talk learning lines, working with director PT Anderson and how Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood has done the creepy score...
